My principal interest lies on the investigation of memory mechanisms in both health and disease models from a network’s perspective. I am passionately driven by the application of new technologies to old research questions and the long-term aim of developing new therapeutical targets from the combination of basic research and a multidisciplinary approach to memory-related problems.

Currently I am studying the synaptic and molecular mechanisms behind forgetting and memory trace decay, using a combined approach of in vivo electrophysiology, optogenetics, and behavioural tests.
